GIRLS DAY OUTING

Last week a couple of friends and I went to Berkely to check out a place I had visited before.  It was not what it used to be but nevertheless we had a GREAT day.  We went to all kinds of shops, had lunch and went to this place that my daughter had recommended.  It is called BERKELEY BOWL....and for all you people who like to shop at Whole Foods, take a gander at this place!  It beats Whole Foods by a mile......you would not believe they have two huge sections of produce, one organic and one regular, not to mention the rest of the store.  Their deli makes you hungry just to smell it!  They have everything....also a restaurant.  We had a greeeaaattt time!   Oh, and those funny looking red things with the green stuff coming out, in the box......we did not know what they were, they were $4.95/lb and she bought them just to put in a bowl, because they were beautiful!

Backyard Gate

Backyard Gate

Look how cute this is!  My husband took apart an old wood shelf thingy that someone had made and it was falling apart.  Then he found this vintage iron thingy and had it welded together to create a handle for the gate.

HOMEGROWN STRAWBERRIES!

Ahh!  Sunday morning!  So there I was strolling through my garden, in my nightshirt, watering everything after yesterdays heat.  It is so wonderful to have fresh strawberries!  I can almost pick a basket every other day.  They looked so pretty, I just had to share.

HANDMADE VINTAGE FABRIC PILLOW

This must be a red and white day!  I saw this fabric on the shelf and decided to make this French Farmhouse Pillow.  I used a cotton linen vintage tablecloth.  Sure to look great in almost any decor from shabby chic, to traditional, to contemporary.  Of course, this pillow may be purchased from my Etsy shop!
