OUR CHRISTMAS PORCH

OUTSIDE DECORATIONS

My husband puts a lot of effort into his decorating. Last night he was up VERY late putting all the new things on the outside tree on our porch. I swear he could make some dough doing this because he LOVES doing it. He says he doesn't but I do not believe it.

MY PINK TULLE TREE

My Tag Resource

I forgot to mention that I have a favorite in my favorites that I use all the time. It is a wonderful site that I go to when I want beautiful tags. I made this tag for my little pink tree with a picture of "Alice", a beautiful olde time girl with a large hat! You can download FREE pictures for all your needs. CRAFT SHOW

So the car is packed and ready to go. Getting items packed and marked correctly is the hardest part when preparing for a show. Then, you have to think about your display pieces. Will I need extra tables, props? How about table covers? Which ones will make the items stand out, dark or white? I usually choose white. A chair.....last thing I think about! Then, half way through the show I say "Boy, my feet hurt". I will take a chair this time but I really hate to take up the room and I also hate to look like a slacker. Hard to tell what the customer base will be...usually, the only way to look at it is....if they like it, they will buy it. But, in this current economy, no telling. Oh well, it will be a fun adventure! Good way to pass out business cards and meet people. I will take some pictures if I do not forget! Oh, I almost forgot......A very nice co-blogger put in a little blurb for my market bags in her blog. If I do this right, you should be able to see the link for starrydeborah.etsy.com!

MY PINK TULLE TREE

I created this cute little pink tulle tree. When I put it on my mantel in my bedroom I realized it would be hard to part with it....but, I put it on my Etsy site anyway.

FAERY FROST CROWN

This was a fun crown to make also. I have named it "Faery Frost Crown". Now that is all I can think about....making crowns. Who knew they were so simple!

CROWNS

I have been wanting to make some crowns after I bought the book Crowns and Tiaras so yesterday I couldn't resist trying a few. What fun! This one I call Forest Fairy Crown. Notice the little vintage deer!

PUMPKINS ON THE PORCH

Come sit a spell. Everyone enjoys his fascinating and detailed decorating.

MORE HALLOWEEN FUN

I think the cat is afraid to come on the porch......he might get decorated!

OUR HALLOWEEN HOUSE

Every year my husband decorates our home to the hilt. You can find him outside making changes at all hours of the night. Here are some photos of his expertise in making our home stand out in the neighborhood. He does not, however, do anything spooky to scare the kids. Hmmmm, well we have an upstairs room that has ghosts flying around . Very neat but not that scary.

Now, how did that pig get in the picture?

WATERING CAN PURSE

A good friend of my gave me this cute purse with a bright gold chrysanthemum plant in it. Now isn't this the cutest thing to give a gardener!

QUILT TOP FINISHED

Ok, so now I finished my quilt top. I was planning on putting this quilt in the Folsom Quilt Show 2010 but someone saw it and it might not make it to the show! What fun creating with all the bright colors! My pictures do not do them justice.

LOVE THE COLORS!

Do you think I like color! It is so amazing how someone that loves shabby cottage chic and the pastels involved also loves bright fabrics. I guess that is what keeps things from getting monotonous! I am going to attend the Pacific International Quilt Festival this weekend and will probably come back with probably more inspiration than I can handle.

QUILT IN THE PROCESS

Here is the start of a quilt I am making to enter in our quilt show in February, 2010. Such fun!

DOLLY FRIENDS FROM FRIENDS

Here are some of my collection of dollies I have received from other creative people I know. Also, there are some of my supplies on these shelves.

SEWING ROOM STORAGE

This is the top of one of my cabinets in my studio. Hmmm I wonder how that cat got up there!

I LOVE MY BOOKS!

Here are some of my books. I love to have inspiration all around. Maybe that is why I wake up wanting to create something every day!

Jelly Cupboard With Dark Fabrics

Here is my jelly cupboard that I keep my dark fabrics
in. Holy cow, I had better get busy and make some winter quilts! Now I am embarrassed at how much fabric I have. Oh well, one needs a stash to work their magic from.

ZEPHYR COVE

I just got back from my yearly quilt retreat at Zephyr Cove which is at Lake Tahoe. Too beautiful to capture! We had sunsets like this every night. It is always sad to know another year has passed but we will go back next September. It is always so inspirational to be with other creative people. A lot is gained through friendship and sharing and I always come home refreshed and inspired to forge ahead in my creative endeavors as everyone is so supportive of each other. This is probably one of the most beautiful places on earth.

ENTRY SHELF

I am getting ready to change my entry room shelf for the fall season so I need to change out my cute little birds nests and birds. Now how did that little cat get in there? Hmmm

MARKET BAGS

Arent these cute? They were so cute I decided to hang them outside under the trees all in a row. Great little takealong bags to have in your car for that trip to the market.
